Our second laser (called a 'KTP laser') is what we use for all tooth whitening procedures. We also use the same laser for any 'soft tissue' procedures, such as minor gum surgery, tissue biopsy etc. The wonderful thing about the laser is that such 'surgery' can be performed with no need for sutures (stitches), almost no postoperative pain etc. and absolutely no bleeding at all! Certanly, no one likes the thought of having surgery of any kind (including gum surgery) but the laser will perform this in a vastly better way than you ever would have thought possible.
