Meet Dr Mark Dennes
Having been ‘born and bred’ in Sydney, I graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry (University of Sydney) in 1982, and commenced work in full time private practice in the southern suburbs of Sydney.
In 1990, I moved to my practice in the Sydney CBD where I have been working ever since. This city practice has a long history of providing quality dental care. Dr Ral Gabriel, Dr Tim Lloyd and Dr John Kinross were my antecedents in this practice. Indeed, from 1990 through to 1994, Dr John Kinross and I worked together in the practice, until ill health forced him to retire.
It has been a pleasure to have gained many of the patients who had been previously cared for by these fine practitioners, and the practice has continued to hold the underlying philosophy of providing caring, quality dentistry.
Outside of the practice my wife and I have three lovely daughters and we are very involved in church and youth activities with the Christadelphian church. I also have an interest in aviation – I am a private pilot, and together with my father (who is retired and has put in the lion’s share of the work), have completed building an ‘Express’ single engine, 5-seat aircraft – a project that took approximately 5 years. The aircraft has now been flying since 1995 and has taken us to many parts of the wonderful continent in which we are privileged to live.
In addition to flying for pleasure, I also conduct a number of flights for the Angel Flight charity. I find it very satisfying to be able to donate my time and skills to help needy people from rural areas access health care services that they require in Sydney. Indeed, if you are looking for a worthy charity to donate to, perhaps you might consider Angel Flight. I hope this helps to explain why you might see a few aviation magazines interspersed amongst the others in the waiting room!
Meet Dr David Kozor
I spent the early years of my career working in regional New South Wales gaining valuable experience before moving to Melbourne in 2017 where I worked for several years on Collins Street in the CBD, honing my skills in complex and aesthetic dentistry.
It felt great to finally return home to Sydney in 2020 with a wealth of experience and the opportunity to be here working with Dr Dennes for the long term.
Exceptional dentistry to me is a two-part process. It involves excellent clinical dentistry (leave that part to me) and an outstanding patient experience. This comes from excellent communication and an amazing, warm and friendly chairside experience when you are in for an appointment. I love what I do and I strive to make all my patients feel like they have an exceptional experience each and every time they see me.
Outside of work I spend most of my time with my beautiful wife Mary. I am also an overly-competitive tennis player, a keen musician and a lover of all things sport.
Meet Dr Kenny Wong
I have also been born and bred in Sydney and graduated from Sydney University with my dental degree just a few years after Dr Dennes. My wife and I have two lively young boys who keep us amazingly busy with all manner of activities associated with school and the like – as the saying goes – never a dull moment!
I have been working part time with Dr Dennes for a long time now – 17 years and counting – and still very much enjoy all aspects of dentistry. I am particularly interested in all facets of cutting-edge technology (yes, I love gadgets!) and love to see them used in both dentistry and beyond.
